About Family Crafts
Family Crafts is a small, static collection of craft project notes written for parents and children in Canada. The focus is narrow on purpose: hands-on activities that can be made at home with everyday materials, described clearly enough that a parent can read a page once and start.
What this site is
Each project page lists the materials, gives a realistic sense of how long the activity takes, and explains which steps suit younger or older children. The writing aims to be plain and practical rather than promotional. There are no accounts to create and nothing to buy here; the pages are simply reference notes.
How the content is prepared
Projects are kept to well-known, traditional crafts such as paper folding, salt dough modelling, and basic knitting. Where a page mentions a general topic, it links to a neutral public reference such as Wikipedia or a Government of Canada page rather than stating figures that cannot be verified. When exact details are not known, the text uses general descriptions instead of inventing specifics.
About the photographs
Photographs on this site come from Wikimedia Commons and remain under their respective licenses. They are used to illustrate the type of project being described.
